
SHANGRI - LA PRIVATE RESIDENCE AND HOTEL
The 65-storey tower at University Avenue and Adelaide Street will combine a five-star hotel with a luxury condominium. Located across from the Four Season's Centre for the Performing Arts, it will contain 220 guest rooms and, above them, 352 residences. Owners of these suites will have access to the hotel's Chi spa and pool, as well as 24- hour conveniences such as housekeeping and room service. This development is the second Canadian property to be developed by Hong Kong based Westbank and Peterson Group.
Shangri-La Hotels is well known in Asia for its high-end hotels and resorts, and now is expanding into North America. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently manages 50 hotels around the world under Shangri-La and Traders brands. The building has a clean-lined contemporary design with Asian influences, featuring spa, lounge, retail and restaurant spaces, along with hotel guest rooms and both pied-a-terre and estate style residential suites.
The tower is located between the financial and entertainment districts, will include 279 one and two bedroom suites from the 18th to 48th floor. Prices range from $550,000 to $1.7 million. Starting on the 49th floor, there will be 71 executive suites measuring between 1,900 and 3,700 square feet. Priced from $2.1 million to more than $5 million, these units will feature separate elevators, lobbies, and concierge and valet services. Shangri-La Toronto will be one of the best exclusive 5 star hotel and private residences in Canada.
